USA Luge Adds Black Diamond Technologies to its Family of Suppliers

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- USA Luge announced, Wednesday, Jan. 2, that Black Diamond Technologies (BDT) has agreed to a three-year relationship with the association as its “Official Technology Solution Provider.” BDT will help USA Luge in a variety of areas, including technology-related purchasing, data storage and athlete support.
“We are excited by our new partnership with Black Diamond Technologies,” said USA Luge’s marketing director Gordy Sheer. “Because they’ve brought the fastest data storage systems in the world to the marketplace, BDT’s association with the fastest sport on ice is a natural one.”
Black Diamond Technologies provides IT consulting and services including virtualization, data storage, and business continuity. The solutions they design and integrate nationwide not only help companies get the most out of their technology investments, but also give them a competitive advantage in their marketplace.

USA Luge is an Olympic class member organization of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of luge in the United States. A not-for-profit organization, USA Luge - the official American representative to the International Luge Federation (F.I.L.) - is based in Lake Placid, N.Y. with a western office in Park City, Utah, and its natural track operations in the Marquette/Negaunee, Mich. area. Chartered in 1979, as a direct result of the Congressional Amateur Sports Act of 1978, it is the responsibility of USA Luge to recruit, prepare, train and equip the United States National Luge Team for international and Olympic competition, as well as promote the growth of the sport nationwide.
