LUGE: Media Advisory...USA Luge Telephone Press Conference With Tony Benshoof Scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 10

In advance of the XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, USA Luge will be hosting weekly press conferences with several of its athletes. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. EST, Tony Benshoof (White Bear Lake, Minn.), a 2006 Olympic team nominee, will discuss his men’s singles World Cup silver medal finish in Saturday’s, Jan. 7, series stop in Koenigssee, Germany. Through six races, Benshoof has raced to five individual World Cup medals (four silver and one bronze) and is ranked second in the overall series standings, with 410 points, and trails Italy’s Armin Zoeggeler for the overall series lead by just 34 points. WHO: USA Luge’s Tony Benshoof (White Bear Lake, Minn.), a 2006 Olympic team nominee. This season, Benshoof has raced to a combined 10 (two gold, five silver, three bronze) World Cup and Challenge Cup medals.
